We are pleased to announce the winning remix of No Rockefeller, chosen by the record’s producer Youth, is the Wass n Burls by Miles Highson.
Celebrating Poly’s mix race background, the remix will be released on December 4th as part of a digital only single, in aid of the Somali refugee appeal with all proceeds being donated to UNHCR – The UN Refugee Agency to help directly with their Somali campaign.
More than 1.4 million people are internally displaced in Somalia and over 600,000 Somalis live as refugees in neighbouring countries. After Afghanistan and Iraq, Somalia is the third largest refugee-producing country in the world.

Also included in the EP will be Poly’s Black Christmas, a non-album track originally released last November when Poly announced her return, along with a brilliant remix of this song from Kahn, a fast rising new Bristol blood.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of a Remix Competition for the track “No Rockefeller”, a firm fan’s favourite from the ‘Generation Indigo’ album.
The winning remix will be marketed and released digitally on FutureNoise Music with all proceeds from the track going to The U.N. Refugee Agency to help refugees and famine in Somalia. Poly being half Somalian, this was felt to be a fitting cause, and one of which she would have approved.
In addition, the winner will also receive a Special one-off prize bundle including the Deluxe CD, LP, pin badge, choice of T-shirt and a copy of the Limited Edition Red 10” Vinyl of ‘Virtual Boyfriend’ all presented in a Poly tote/shopper bag.

Following computer-age anthem ‘Virtual Boyfriend’, which trailered “Generation Indigo” as first single, we are thrilled to announce that the new single from the album will be the rapturous ‘Ghoulish’; the track Poly chose to be the second single before she sadly passed away.
‘Ghoulish’ represents Poly’s compassionate spirit and lifelong talent for tackling unusual but glaring subject matter. It is one of the outstanding results of the torrential creative relationship which sparked between her and producer Youth, here hot-wiring New York’s 60s girl group sound with sparkling future-sheen and swooping sonic sheets to produce a new strain of spectacular, 21st century pop music.
Speaking before the album’s release, Poly explained how the song had been inspired by Michael Jackson – how she had found Jacko‘s white face and makeup ghoulish, but ‘I could see that he was probably a nice guy…I never met him, but he seemed soft-spoken and gentle. It was all over the media and I thought I would write that song, but it could be about any goth guy.’
Hercules & Love Affair, aka Andy Butler, steps up for remix duties, draping Poly’s vocals over an exquisite Moroder-meets-acid house super-groove, with cliff-hanger drop and voluptuous peaks.
The ‘Ghoulish’ digital release featuring a new Radio Edit and the Hercules & Love Affair remix will be available to download on 7th August (8th in the US).
The brilliant video is a hilarious and moving take on the Michael Jackson angle by director Lauryn Siegal and features US actress Gaby Hoffmann.
